|Craig Holland |
Craig Holland, a native Detroiter, was raised among artists. He studied at Wayne State University, and from the Society of Arts and Crafts, was selected to join a national advertising agency. He started an independent graphic arts studio, and worked for many years as a Creative Director in Automotive Marketing. Inspired by George Inness, Craig has been painting landscapes in oil for over thirty years in a style that has been described as abstract realist. Ever aware of the vistas unique to the Leelanau Peninsula, Craig is happiest in his studio on Soper Road, tending his gardens, or walking in his woods. An avid reader, Craig loves history and genealogy, and anything to do with Bix Beiderbecke.
